Today on this lovely Tuesday, snowy, early winter, apparently extra long and cold one too, I thought you and I should overanalyze office chairs. We spend A LOT of time sitting, like a lot and usually all of that sitting is done in front of a computer. Like now. I can’t imagine anyone walking and reading this. Unless you own a fit bit and it has told you to get up and walk because sitting is so terrible for us. How terrible is sitting? Something akin to smoking cigarettes. What can we do about all of this terribleness? We can take a hyper focus look at our office chair and see if it is our friend or foe.
What’s in an Office Chair?
I have a confession, I intended to explore the world of office chairs with an open mind and find out which chairs offered the most support, were the prettiest and most popular. All of this happened before I stumbled upon the two actual best chairs on the planet. I am guilty of assuming a huge price tag means quality and I’m also easily swayed by science. I can only brag about 2 chairs, because everything after the first two chairs resembled nothing less than not the best. It’s like finding the one (two) love(s) of your life and then trying to also maybe settle on a 3rd or 4th. I won’t do it and I’m not going to waste your time doing it.

They ship it for free so why wouldn’t you scoop this baby up. When I first saw this sculpted beauty I knew Ferrari had design input (and I was totally right), also Maserati. I am making exactly zero dollars in commission so I will not go into total detail, however if you have any kind of comfort issue or life issue, I’m pretty sure this chair can solve it.

What is great about the Embody Chair as the name ever so slightly implies is that it conforms to your spine and the back of the chair looks somewhat like a spine. It supports healthy circulation by mimicking your micro movements, cool right?! For just under $3k in Canadian dollars this chair can be all yours. Soul chairs (mates) cost money, apparently.
